This is a demonstration of a graphical tool to find files, find text, and replace text on Linux servers that creates the bash commands for you.

Simultaneous multiple file types are supported for both text find and replace. The user can easily change the list of file types.

The list of characters that are not allowed to be inserted into a file during the replace operation can also be changed by the user.

The files that can be searched and modified are controlled by permissions that can be changed via SSH using bash commands such as chmod or your server Control Panel File Manager. Since this tool can modify the contents of many files simultaneously, it should be used with caution and the affected files and directories should be backed up prior to use.

The demonstration version below limits the directories to a single location, and two demo files are available (demo.php and demo.txt) for batch text replace. Both files contain "This is a demo file." when the "Demo Refresh" button is pressed. The shipped product is unrestricted and supports access to all directories. For your convenience, the demo feature can be turned on or off.
